Manuel, thanks for your hint. The -current driver works just fine with 
the 3.0 Kernel. No code changes were neccessary (I added GEODE_DPRINTF 
in the tickle function to ensure proper operation).

I testet the watchdog in externel and kernel tickle mode, both successful.
