this is that any user can mount any filesystem type with this, so long as
they have access to the device/resource and the mount point.  However, for
many systems this is acceptable.  Also, the automounter could be used, a
program like sudo, the portal daemon, "magic links", hlfsd, a combination of
the aforementioned, etc.
