fyi, cgd(4) can handle / for quite some time. i use this setup for
almost two years, since Apr 2005:
$ df -hl
Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/cgd0a 36G 31G 4.8G 86% /
$ swapctl -l
Device 512-blocks Used Avail Capacity Priority
/dev/cgd1a 1050273 0 1050273 0% 0
