If you succeed at this, you'll have done something useful, but IMHO an
important part is missing: installing a system is the (relatively)
easy part. Keeping it patched is a whole 'nother ball game, and
difficult enough for experienced sysadmins; for ordinary users, it's an
insurmountable problem as things stand.
And if you're able to basically automate patching the O/S and
software, then you will have provided tools that will help a lot of
overworked sysadmins as well.
