This is the main reason I switched to using NetBSD as the main Unix
class system(*). I don't recall in the last three or four years having
a problem, posting a query on one of the lists and not receiving a
sensible reply within a few hours. I've tried the same with Free/Open
(which I still use), to no avail. I've been using -current on several
machines, which I consider "production" (that is, some people would
notice their absence when they are down...), with no major problems.

The other, equally important reason, is, of course, the technical
excellence of the project. (**)
