    Our production file server is a
basic server running NetBSD and Samba.
NetBSD is able to use the hardware RAID
card, but can't give me any information
about the health of the array. I have to
check that manually, outside of NetBSD.

    We have a couple of other NetBSD
hosts doing specific odd jobs.  One
serves up a serial port attached to the
console of the HVAC system, allowing
authorized personnel to log in via the
Internet and adjust the air conditioning
and heating settings and schedules.

    I am on the look out for something
that might be able to replace NetBSD on
the production file server but I have
yet to find something appropriate.
