Please send the output of 'cpuctl list'.
What if you run (as root) 'cpuctl offline 1' before 'shutdown -p now'?
Does that make powerdown reliable? What if you run, instead, 'cpuctl
offline 0' before 'shutdown -p now'? Does that stop powerdown from
occurring every time?
