On Linux even if I don't load any nvidia drivers (either xorg or
kernel ones) running graphic card causes considerably higher power
drain on battery (reported by apm/acpi) in contrary to disabling the
nvidia card via ACPI call.

I'll check it as well as the sysctl part and report back.
