No, it was just comments as it comes by default.

It is probably this - mine is 6 core Xeon E5-1660 with HT on, so it
uses by default 12 threads (I've actually followed the logic in
etcmanage and doubled this in the default.conf - now I have

MACHINES="amd64 i386"
BUILD_TARGETS="release iso-image install-image live-image"
NJOBS=24

and the cron job completed without errors overnight.

Fair enough, 'vfork failed' is pretty obvious.
