NetBSD bonnie 5.0_STABLE NetBSD 5.0_STABLE (BONNIE) #0: Sat Feb 13

i386*>Description:*
I first noticed in netbsd-4 and assumed I had something local broken
but I'm not seeing any local issue. On a fresh checkout the netbsd src
command "build.sh release" doesn't make nbsed and causes the iso-image
target to fail (also, "install" after distribution).
On my cross-compile from FreeBSD 9.0-STABLE, I don't think nbsed was missing,
but noticed that iso-image failed. I was still able to boot the 6 MB little
boot.iso using grub4dos, had to leave the installation temporarily to find the
installation sets using dkctl (dkctl wd0 listwedges), then mount /dev/dk6 and
give the path to the installation sets. That way, I successfully installed
to the USB stick, and it booted successfully.
I haven't yet been successful for NetBSD 5.1_STABLE amd64.
I will also want to build NetBSD 6 and HEAD for both i386 and amd64.
I think I might, for NetBSD 6 and possibly HEAD, use Rod Smith's gdisk,
compiled for FreeBSD using FreeBSD ports system, to create a NetBSD ffs/ufs
partition and a NetBSD swap partition on a USB stick, newfs from FreeBSD, and
then mount that NetBSD ffs/ufs partition and use that as DESTDIR.
Actually, two USB sticks, one for NetBSD-6 i386 and the other for amd64.
