I'm having a similar problem with NetBSD/amd64 6.0 on the video
console---i.e., consdev=pc. I ended up by accident at the 'root device:
' prompt and I needed to reboot; it took several presses (perhaps 10?)
to type each letter of r-e-b-o-o-t, and then several taps on Enter to
issue the command.

I'm used to (and quite weary of) USB keyboard problems, which (in my
experience) seem to afflict both NetBSD/i386 and /amd64 but especially
/amd64. What's extraordinary about this experience is that I'm using a
keyboard with PS/2 connector!
