Sorry for the delay too. I have ordered another board in the meantime, which is
certified to be powered at 3.3V, which is a requisite for the soekris (I have no
idea of the voltage the tp-link board operates at)
So far the new board operates flawlessly using the same athn driver.
I'll try to take some time to get the error message anyway, thanks.
