How is it picking it up? Resetting PATH and running nbmakeinfo by hand still gives same error. Or are you saying nbmakeinfo was built with newer texinfo dependencies?
# cd /opt/obj.amd64/tools/gcc/build/gcc
# PATH=/bin:/usr/bin /opt/tools.amd64/bin/nbmakeinfo --no-split -I . -I /opt/src/tools/gcc/../../external/gpl3/gcc/dist/gcc/ -I /opt/src/tools/gcc/../../external/gpl3/gcc/dist/gcc/doc/include -o doc/gccint.info /opt/src/tools/gcc/../../external/gpl3/gcc/dist/gcc/doc/gccint.texi
/opt/src/tools/gcc/../../external/gpl3/gcc/dist/gcc/doc//tree-ssa.texi:912: @code missing close brace.
/opt/src/tools/gcc/../../external/gpl3/gcc/dist/gcc/doc//tree-ssa.texi:905: No matching `@end smallexample'.
makeinfo: Removing output file `doc/gccint.info' due to errors; use --force to preserve.
