graphics/sane-backends scanimage core dumps

This is on pkgsrc-current, evbarm

Running scanimage, even without any arguments results in this:

assertion "type == AT_SECURE" failed: file "common/compat.c", line 801,
function "getauxval"
[1]   Abort trap (core dumped) scanimage

ktrace shows the backend /usr/pkg/lib/sane/libsane-hpaio.so.1 was opened
with no signs of error.

Does getauxval give any hint where to look further?
