Re: suspend-to-RAM intel-x86 issues and tests

Hi All,

I started the driver roulette on the T30, just to see where it could lead.

Riccardo

Some attempts on the T43 show that the radeon drm is not "so" stable and often I get a wake-up as a black screen, without radeon, it works fine.

Anyway, on the T30 the DRM console does not enable.
I tried disabling:

uhci
usb
pcmcia
cardbs
iic
isa

iwi
fxp

auich
midi

with this disabled, the system is pretty bare-bones! :)
I disabled most non-essential system buses, which disable loads of dependent drivers too. I don't think I can disable much more and still have a system I can log into!

yet.... on sleep it crashes. I was able to catch the error.
I add that even if it says "flushing disk" at the next reboot, the filesystem is dirty.

I did not type out all hex addresses, if you want I can try or share the screenshot. Does it give a clue on where it is crashing? maybe another driver to test? or something different?
