Thanks to you and Ronald Georgia I picked up a,
cdce0: CMI (0xbda) USB 10/100 LAN (0x8152), rev 2.10/20.00, addr 3
which seems to be recognized by cdce back on NetBSD 8 but is indeed
performing perfectly for me so I am now much happier. I'll be interested
to check out the new ure driver when I upgrade that Intel NUC. (Nearly
finished upgrading everything from 7 to 8 first!)
I'll also bear in mind Brad and Hauke mentioning axe devices - while I
had trouble with ASIX AX88179 and Realtek RTL8153, it sounds as if
perhaps AX88178 would have been fine and so far RTL8152 is too!
