Re: time consistently behind 6 seconds every day

Pretty much no clock is perfect, so you always have drift.
That is why you should be running ntpd.

If you don't, then you will have this difference that only grows with 
time. And it's different on every system.
Which also is why there are no really good knobs available for tweaking 
this manually. Manual tweaking is hard, and it is also actually not 
constant. Clocks are affected by temperature, power levels, age, and god 
knows what else...

Run ntpd!
