Sure that the root filesystem is ffsv2 and not ffsv1 ?

# dumpfs -s raid0a
file system: /dev/rraid0a
format  FFSv2
[...]
cylgrp  dynamic inodes  FFSv2   sblock  FFSv2   fslevel 5
...

ffsv2 has 'format' and 'inodes' set to FFSv2. The 'sblock' value
isn't relevant.
