Aw: Re: graphical desktop in virtualbox
Hi All,
Finally I have succeeded to implement all the propositions.
The command "xrandr" work on my machine like on the machines
of all other persons.
I have finally succeeded to manage correctly the Guest additions
of Virtualbox. Yesterday I was able to compile everything but the mouse
was not working. I should have better read the examples and change
driver to "ws", this would have avoided me a lot of pain!
To succeed I have decided to start again from scratch by recreating
and reinstalling a new virtual machine. During the configuration of
the virtual machines two parameters seem to be important:
1) I have increased the memory for video
to 128Mb (the default is 16Mb)
2) I have choosen the graphic controler to be
"VBoxSvga" (instead of VMSVGA)
I hope this could helps.
Thanks again for your help,
Best regards
