zfs/zpool and local disk vs netboot?
I have a machine set up with a ZFS raidz1 running NetBSD/amd64-9.1_STABLE
from local disk (separate from the zpool devices).
I also netboot the machine with whatever -current I've updated to for
diskless clients (9.99.77 as of this writing).
Unfortunately, I cannot seem to get the netbooted -current system to
see the zpool.
Firstly, zfs support seems only to be available as a loadable module
and autoload from the NFS root (/stand/<arch>/blah...) seems not to
work. I have to explicitly load the "solaris" and "zfs" modules from
the bootloader (I have "bootconf, modules" options set in my pxeboot.)
I thought I could just copy the "/etc/zfs/zpool.cache" from the 9.1
system to the -current system, but 'zpool list' shows the pool name
but shows no statistics and has it marked "UNAVAIL".
How can I get the zpool/zfs to be visible from either boot environment?
Thanks.
