Is your phone getting into the ARP cache? If not, then the packets wouldindeed be dropped like that.


Thank you! After some system update the phone had turned on randomized
MAC address on the local wifi network.
arp -a showed the arp entry in incomplete state.
Switching randomized MAC off fixed the problem.
