savecore message at startup

Hello All,

I am seeing a savecore message at startup (after diagnosis messages),
before the login prompt.

The message says:

savecore: dump_exists : 471 : kvm_read newdumpmap : _kvm_kvmtop
(ffffffff8140030c)

The other day, when shutting down, the system froze and the system restarted.

Has anybody experienced this before?
