Can you:
1. drop into the bootloader prompt,
2. do `userconf disable uts' at the bootloader prompt,
3. boot,
4. confirm the device shows up as uhid(4) instead of uts(4) now, and
5. share `usbhidctl -f /dev/uhidN -v -r' output?
Also maybe:
6. file a PR to track this?
