sysinstall problems upgrading from stable to daily latest
As I was doing sysinstall
against https, nycdn... NetBSD-daily, I experienced an issue that
I don't know how to process:
When I picked the destination, I chose wd1, the disk where I
installed the system (I didn't read carefully or I might have
chosen "current system"). The installer then did an fsck on rdk1
and failed. I reran it and it succeeded, so I went on with the
upgrade. At the end it complained about umount failing on / and I
gather that's because I am currently running the system. After
rebooting, things seem to work properly.
I asked on irc and it turns out that rdk1 is a raw version of
something called a wedge that corresponds to a partition? Anyway,
mount shows dk1 as being /.
All in all, I wonder if choosing "current system" is the answer to
both problems - maybe it won't fsck rdk1 and won't try to umount
/. Is this correct or do I have a real problem with my rdk1?
Thanks,
Will
