Anyone who still runs something prior to 9.4 cannot upgrade to 9.4 or newer without first figuring out what I just had to figure out, and it wasn't easy or obvious -- and notably neither google nor ddg were able to find that PR, at least not with any of the many searches I tried. Even though I immediately guessed I could do it with plain FTP instead of HTTPS, it still took a few tries. I think for the duration of support for netbsd-9 the nycdn web server should be "fixed" to redirect to fully qualified URLs (and to the fully qualified HTTPS links too, not to FTP). The alternate (much poorer) hack is for the sysupgrade package to default to using the pure FTP URL until 9.4 or newer is detected. Too bad the ftp(1) version change wasn't included in the pullups too. -- Greg A.
