Blender doesn’t seem to be working
Hello, I’m a relatively new user! (I’ve been using NetBSD for several weeks now.)
Note: I’m sorry if this message ends up being repeated on the mailing list, I was not subscribed before when I sent it for the first time, so I’m unsure whether the message reached the mailing list. (And so I am sending it again.)
This is the issue I’m currently undergoing:
I have installed Blender with ‘pkgin’, but it doesn’t seem to work. Running it from the command line prints the following messages, and then it hangs (without opening a window):
- - - - -
[ALSOFT] (WW) pthread_setschedparam failed: Operation not permitted (1)
[ALSOFT] (WW) D-Bus not supported
- - - - -
If I wait for a few moments without pressing ‘ctrl-c’, it will progressively slow down the entire system until the entire thing freezes.
If I remove ‘MesaLib’, it will show a blank gray window for a few seconds, but then crashes altogether.
I have an Intel integrated GPU, I’m on Xfce, and I’m using NetBSD-current which I upgraded to with the following command:
- - - - -
doas /usr/pkg/sbin/sysupgrade auto https://nycdn.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/HEAD/202408300100Z/amd64
- - - - -
Any help troubleshooting would be appreciated! (Thanks in advance.)
