Suspending ThinkPad X220 upon closing the lid doesn't work on NetBSD 10.0

Hi everyone,

I'm running NetBSD 10.0 on my Thinkpad X220 and suspending my computer upon closing the lid doesn't work. As I understand it, powerd(8) daemon listens to such events and thus should suspend my computer. powerd(8) is set to YES in my
rc.conf. Furthermore, suspending the laptop with the sleep button works
perfectly fine, it just doesn't do it when the laptop lid is closed. In the NetBSD Wiki there is a page for laptops, which describes, that Thinkpads, in particular my Thinkpad X220 should be supported. I've read the powerd(8) man page and there aren't any (for this usecase) important flags to set, so I'm assuming just setting powerd to YES should suffice. The Guide even mentions, that there is a script, which should be executed upon closing the lid, however
powerd just doesn't seem to call it.

What am I missing out on? Is there anything else I need in order for it to work?

Regards,
kotorifan
