Re: pkgin fails to install pkg due to pkg_summary mismatch (but pkg_add works)

Hi Martin,

This sounds like a broken cache file somewhere in the CDN, maybe pkgin
would have worked if you had used the same URL?

good to know that the repo is fine. I hoe pkg_add also checks for the sum? With that I installed most packages and for others, pkgin appears to work

I suppose the same domain is used:

processing remote summary (ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/i386/10.1/All)... database for ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/i386/10.1/All is up-to-date

Is the same as:
http://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/i386/10.1/All/

http. vs ftp, do they serve the same file? I was using http since I copied the URLs from the browser, not for another specific reason.
