Yes, qemu unaccelerated.

I tried the old script again, and it is also slow -- a total runtime of 136 minutes for installation and running a few pkg_add commands. Almost the entire time is spent on the latter. So it has always been slow.

I am wondering why that is though! The installer seems to run pretty fast, the entire installation is through in 1-2 minutes. Why are the shell commands after reboot slow? Is it the network access?

I noticed anita selects a wm(4) card for network in qemu. Maybe choosing virtio devices would make it work faster in general?
