compiling pkgsrc/archivers/gsharutils fails with

cc -L/usr/local/pkg/lib -Wl,-rpath,/usr/local/pkg/lib -liconv -o shar shar.o 
encode.o ../lib/libshar.a -lintl -liconv ../lib/libshar.a -lintl -lintl -lintl 
-liconv

A comment in src/shar.c says about _nl_default_dirname: "Defined in 
dcgettext.c",
which refers to intl/dcgettext.c.
This code however does not seem to be used.
When not using the pkgsrc gettext-lib (by commenting out the respective include 
in the pkgsrc/archivers/gsharutils/Makefile) the package compiles.
