Yes, I was able to successfully compile libgcrypt by doing the following:

• Install /usr/pkgsrc/devel/cpuflags
• Edit (or create)  /etc/mk.conf to include the following line:
        
.sinclude "/usr/pkg/share/mk/cpuflags.mk"

Perform a make clean in /usr/pkgsrc/security/libgcrypt

Now you should be able to successfully perform a make of the package
libgcrypt.

I believe that the problem was that the package requires –mCPU to have the
value SUPERSPARC during the build, however this flag does not get set on
SPARC unless the cpuflags package is installed.

Some additional details can be found by querying problem report number 27211
in the NetBSD problem database (http://www.netbsd.org/Misc/query-pr.html).  

(Note:  this problem report has not been closed, so I do not know if the
solution I have provided has been looked at, or if it was determined that it
did not address the root cause of the problem.)

I'm using a NetBSD 1.6.2-Installation on a Sparcstation 20 and got 
the same problem you described in the pkgsrc-bugs mailing list.
On the list I did not found an answer. Do you have some information
or even a bugfix or a workaround?
