I ran into the exact same problem when trying to compile
openldap-2.2.18nb3. The problem seems to be that the configure script
for openldap is finding the db.h file in /usr/include instead of the
correct one in /usr/pkg/include/db4. The db.h file in /usr/include is
for the berkeley db that comes in the base system which is version 1.x I
believe where openldap requires version 4.2 minimum. The configure
script seems to detect the correct location of the library, but not the
header file. A workaround I found was to move the older db.h file out
of the way for a moment and do a make clean && make configure in the
pkgsrc directory. After configure was done, I could move the db.h file
back to /usr/include and continue building openldap.
