 I can confirm this behaviour (NetBSD/i386 1.6.2, all packages from
 pkgsrc-2005Q1, no Java anywhere on this system).
 
 I never really bothered to explore this. Seeing this PR, I tried the
 suggested script "owrapper" and since a long time I can see the frame
 source in vi again  (or use telnet: URLs).
