Is this tightvnc or regular vnc? Your PR mentions both.
Google searches show this happens (or happened) with alpha and powerpc
platforms also.
I think the code is at
vnc_unixsrc/Xvnc/programs/Xserver/include/servermd.h.
I don't see any change here for a couple years in tightvnc cvs. Xorg (and
XFree86) have many changes to this file including for amd64.
