 ohhhh yuck. now I see what sendpr.cgi did with my first 3 attempts at filing
 pkg/30956: it saw the "prereq to pkg/30954" in the title and silently appended
 them all here. Please forgive all that extra text up there (better yet,
 somebody please delete it if possible).  All I wanted here was a brief note
 that 30956 was a prerequisite for this one. sorry about the mess.
