Please read the PR again. It does not suggest changing the default.
pkgsrc provides a package called print/papersize. It includes tools called
getpapersize and setpapersize. They are simply used to show and set the
default paper size for a number of packages.
At this time, setpapersize supports: A4, Letter, or Letterdj. We could add
others if people suggest.
Also, pkgsrc has a build variable called PAPERSIZE that defaults to A4.
Some packages use this PAPERSIZE to predefine their default paper size. It
can also be set to Letter for example.
Also note that some printers do not print A4 easily.
