Apologies for the partially completed PR form - finger slip! The rest of

Environment: SunOS saros 5.9 Generic_118558-19 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-30
Full Description: When attempting to build devel/libidn, the "extract"
phase stops with an error message "bad substitution".
