clisp-2.38 does not configure (and hence does not build) properly.  The 
configure script fails while trying to configure the zlib module:

configure:  * ZLIB (Functions)
checking for library containing compress2... -lz
checking for compressBound... no
configure: error: ZLIB version 1.2 or better is required
*** Error code 1

compressBound is found in zlib in /usr/pkg/lib but not in zlib in /usr/lib.  It 
seems, therefore, that the configure script is (incorrectly) trying to use the 
zlib library in /usr/lib

update pkgsrc today (via cvs) (my update was around 7:00pm Eastern time)
enter /usr/pkgsrc/lang/clisp and do a 'make configure'
