'make show-var' is not supposed to show anything. What you probably want i=
s:
'make show-var VARNAME=3DPKG_SYSCONFDIR' within any package.

I just tried to changed the PKG_SYSCONFBASE variable in the predefined
template to something non-standard (e.g. /etc/pkg), created a new sandox wi=
th
that modified config and ran the above command in print/cups. It works fin=
e.

pkg_comp:default.conf# make show-var VARNAME=3DPKG_SYSCONFDIR
/etc/pkg/cups
pkg_comp:default.conf#
