Basically, the libraries installed from dist/bin and dist/bin/components are 
.dylib(s) on darwin, but the install-foo attempts to install them as .so(s) and 
obviously in this case can not find them.

Install Thunderbird on Darwin

I copied the files by hand and then ran thunderbird-bin -register by hand.
