        Since version 1.5 thunderbird has supposedly had support for
        SASL/GSSAPI authentication but it doesn't work/isn't enabled
        on versions built from pkgsrc.

        Build thunderbird. try to connect to a GSSAPI capable imap server.
        Watch it fail.

        Don't know.  Can't figure my way around the mozilla/thunderbird
        configuration system enough to see what needs to be done.
