 I am not sure absolutely but I think I found/solved the problem. The 
 LD_LIBRARY_PATH was set to /pkg/lib and! to the PATH were the other (old) gtk 
 libs are located. This was not a problem until now. But when I change the 
 LD_LIBRARY_PATH to only /pkg/lib it seems to work.
