>Description:
I'm using KDE 3.5.4 from pkgsrc.

The graphical kdm config frontend (which can be found by clicking on
Settings/System administration/Login manager) saves the configuration in
/usr/pkg/etc/kdm/kdmrc.

According to kdm documentation (chapter 4):
"When kdm starts up, it reads its configuration from the folder
$KDEDIR/share/config/kdm/ (this may be /etc/kde3/kdm/ or something else on your
system)."

That means the configuration file you make using the frontend is NEVER read.
You have to read the doc (see above) and at least make a symlink. It would be
better if it worked without this hack.

>How-To-Repeat:

>Fix:
I suggest that the configuration utility writes the configuration file in the
right place (/usr/pkg/share/config/kdm/) instead of /usr/pkg/etc/kdm.
