 Sorry it took me so long to get to this. With your diff applied I get  
 the following at runtime:
 
 $ mailfront smtp qmail
 mailfront[29875]: Fatal: 4.3.0 Error loading protocol smtp: Shared  
 object "libcvm-sasl.so.1" not found
 
 It happens in 1.10 also. This is being discussed on the bgware list.
