/usr/pkg/bin/vncserver has reference to X11R6 hardcoded - Line 152. 
On systems with Xorg vncserver will not start.
>How-To-Repeat:
Install a fresh system with no X11 sets. 
make and install the xorg meta-pkg.
make and install /pkgsrc/net/vnc.
vncserver will not start.
>Fix:
As a workaround I have modified /usr/pkg/bin/vncserver :
