The following reply was made to PR pkg/36515; it has been noted by GNATS.

I installed from the http://www.webmin.com/ link on
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/current/pkgsrc/sysutils/webmin/README.html
since there was no NetBSD package listed there for
i386 NetBSD 3.1.
Now that I read both of those above pages, it seems to
me that maybe I am doing something wrong? They both
say :
The package is located in the "sysutils/webmin"
directory. The current source version of the package
is "webmin-1.350". For a summary on how to use the
package collection, go to the top of the packages
tree.
And yet I am unable to follow the reasoning presented
at "the top of the packages tree". May I ask you
please to walk me through the logic of installing the
NetBSD webmin package step-by-step? If I can learn how
to do it once, I will remember the technique for all
other source packages and won't have to bother you
again.
Thank you.
