This PR is somehwat old - I doubt this problem still occur in
pkgsrc-2007Q3 anymore. Any feedback about this?
According to the PR the originator tried to build perl from pkgsrc with
the pkgsrc gcc. This would require a bootstrap after gcc from pkgsrc has
been built. It was one of the former methods if you start with a unknown
gcc compiler.
I will try it out tomorrow - however, this PR should closed due to its age
and shoud be reopened if needed on pkgsrc -current.
