Happens on all systems on at least two arch i386 and cobalt.

NetBSD 4.0 and Samba-3.0.26 work fine with Windows XP clients.  But trying the 
same thing with a NetBSD client will panic smbd and can occasionally panic the 
kernel.

gets this on the server (ThinCrust)

Note that only NetBSD clients cause this PANIC, Windows XP works fine. Problems 
with NetBSD smbfs?  Exactly the same behaviour whether client is i386 or 
cobalt.  Also fails in exactly the same fashion whether server is i386 or 
cobalt.

Notice that Debian is seeing something similar with Samba and smbfs type.  They 
suggest using new cifs filesystem type.

Has smbfs been deprecated?
