 Sorry I initially misunderstood. I just thought the problem would be on 
 any platform where the XID or other definitions weren't defined (such as 
 in X11/X.h) -- I thought it was caused by using wrong or old X headers. 
 Now I see that I was probably the one that broke this months ago.
