Does the problem go away if you recompile apr and/or apr-util?
(Also, make sure your kernel has
pseudo-device accf_data # "dataready" accept filter
pseudo-device accf_http # "httpready" accept filter
in it, but AFAIK the default 5.0 kernels should.)
